Strategic Planning

With an OnPoint Focus

To reach your goals, you need to understand your organization’s unique strengths, challenges, and opportunities. But one-size planning sessions don’t work for all organizations.

That’s why we offer two planning approaches.

Our Plan on a Page process is ideal for organizations in need of an update to a current plan or with past strategic planning experience. The Plan on a Page includes focused stakeholder surveys and 5 hours of facilitated work with your leadership team and board. At the end of the process, you will have a document that includes your mission, vision, values, strategic priorities, and projects. A Virtual Huddle Board keeps the work visible and creates line-of-sight accountability for the entire organization.

For organizations in transition  Transformation Planning offers an in-depth look at the challenges and opportunities facing your organization. It combines our Plan on a Page process with an in-depth assessment of the organization’s life stage, anticipate typical challenges and leadership transitions, and help the board and staff leadership focus on the tasks and processes that will help the organization thrive.

Assessments of board engagement and benchmarking with peers on selected topics provide valuable data and insights for planning and strategy. Your board and leadership staff will develop a shared understanding of your organization’s current and future organizational development challenges. You will discover

  • How your organization’s program and financial indicators compare to peers
  • Recommendations for improving teamwork and engagement with your board and staff
  • The external trends impacting your fundraising and service delivery
  • Organizational strengthening recommendations based on your organization’s unique organizational life stage and operating environment
  • Steps to achieve your goals.

This inside-out approach helps ensure your goals align with your mission and vision and your board and staff have the knowledge and capacity to achieve them.

The final product is a presentation to your leadership that includes a Plan on a Page plus a Transformation Report that provides detailed recommendations for your organization’s future success.
